Fascinating 😉 Hong Kong 2015 Day 2

16 March 2015
Second Day

Though I slept late, I woke up really early, 6a.m. Started my day with Gossipsss.. After breakfast,
We went out for another adventure at about 12.30 p.m.
Going out like a Hong Konger.
Sport shoes/sneakers for a busy city

We first went to Salisbury Garden. It is before The Avenue of Stars. It is a nice place to hang out . We took quite a number of pictures there cause we were looking good in my friend's camera.
Near Salisbury Garden, are The Space Museum, and The Art Museum.
Hong Kong Museum of Art

We continued our walk to The Avenue Of Stars. We were super excited to see Jackie Chan, Chow Yun Fatt, Michelle Yeoh, Jet Li and Bruce Lee 's names to be printed there. We could not recognise the others. It's quite a long walk if you really wanna see all the stars.

We had our very first chance to use Octopus Card for a ferry ride to Hong Kong Island. The fare is 2.50 HKD per adult.
Ferry to Hong Kong Island
I had a slight seasick. Good gracious I survived the ride. The first thing we did in HK Island was buying drinks. a 375ml if im not mistaken costs 6.5- 8.9 HKD. They taste good so not a wrong choice to waste money on that.
Salisbury Garden

We found a 7-eleven store and had our meal there. Instant Noodles, they do wonders. They taste different from Maggie in Malaysia.

Our main aim in HK Island is actually Stanley Market. So, with the help of a good samaritan, we went to Stanley Market riding the right bus. It was a long journey and it became really awesome when we go through Tai Tam Reservoir. The water was just so clear and beautiful.

Stanley Market was not so big compared to Visoria, Manila. Stanley Market is a calm one.
I'm sure you've heard warnings about how nasty the sellers there.
So my story was, I took a display shirt and asked for the price, she harshly told me not to take it and talk to her if there was anything and she showed me a small sign written with pen, 97% covered by a display shirt "Do not take" or something like that.
To have witnessed such moronic act, I must be lucky. I was so mad but thankfully a dog made me smile. I thought it was a calf walking around the market and i was taken aback to see it. I could only smile to think back the whole situation. In Stanley Market, we got a good deal for umbrellas. with UV protection, light and beautifully designed we got ourselves each a pink umbrella for 100HKD. That is around RM17 per umbrella. I bought my umbrella in Suria Sabah (with no UV protection) for RM 45. And it was heavy. So, my trip to Stanley Market was a combo of good and bad experience.
Stanley Market
The good uncle told us that we could take MTR to go back to Kowloon. so we did. We  took MTR from Central Station to Admirality and then to Mongkok.  In Mongkok we stopped by at Tung Choi or well known as Ladies Market.
Ladies Market
Not a really big market but the price there were really good . The sellers usually don't put price on the items, they'll ask you to state your price. You can really test your bargaining skill here. My friend managed to bargain a 280 HKD item down to 100HKD, Quite okay right? But you have to keep in mind, not to show much interest if you have no intention to buy. I witnessed a sellers, she was cursing and she threw her calculator when the customers did not want to buy the item after a really low price.

After a long tiring walk around Ladies Market, we took MTR to Temple Street Market. I had problem with my Octopus Card. all three of us had the same balance, so after my friend passed the gate, it was my card and I did not push hard enough hahahh. at the end i had to buy a Single journey ticket for 4.50HKD TO Temple Street Market.

It was a calmer market. I saw TVB  was recording something. maybe a drama? We bought some bananas and apples there and went around looking for  cheap street food. I found a quiet shop near a K-Circle Store. I bought 1 stick of meatballs and pork sausages for 20HKD. The sauce was really spicy I burned my tongue.
Though tortured with the spiciness, we continued to the K Circle Store. The things there are cheaper than 7 elevens . We bought Instant noodles and some ice cream.
Lights sold in Temple Street Market

We arrived at our hostel room around 11.40 p.m. we gotta be fast as the lift closes at 12 a.m. walking up to the 8th floor is not a good idea eyh.

Supper

We had our supper while watching the busy street of Hong Kong slowly turned calmer.
We slept late again talking about our second day in Hong Kong and hope things would turn much better on our third day.

Why I wear veil/headcovering during mass

I was recently exposed to this.  Wearing a veil or a head covering to cover your head, during mass.  For the first few weeks, I felt uneasy wearing it because I was afraid people would look at me and judge me saying i was trying to show off.  But my heart kept saying,  "you are glorifying God, you should do everything that will glorify Him".. Every time when I wear my veil, I would have such struggle.   One day, I went to Sacred Heart Cathedral, i was in a dilemma to wear my veil or not because i saw there were only two people wearing it.  In my hometown, more women answered the call to wear veils to mass.  And I decided to just wear it. I prayed  " Lord, I am not sure if this really makes you happy or not. If it does not, tell me so that i will stop . And if it does , tell me also so that I will continue wearing this. "  (I wore my veil after the First Reading) .  And then, before the song 'Lamb of God' , a warden, an
